What is CBD?

What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the many compounds found in cannabis and hemp.  There are cannabis strains high in CBD, but in hemp there is always a higher CBD content.  All of our products are made from hemp, so that they are legal to be sold and shipped online.  You may have heard of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), the cannabis compound most associated with feelings of euphoria or being "stoned", there are many other compounds, all with unique medical benefits:

  • CBG (cannabigerol);
  • CBC (cannabichromene);
  • THC-V; (tetrahydrocannabivarin);
  • & their acid forms CBD-A; & THC-A.

Alni CBD Body Care only uses hemp-derived CBD isolate in all of our products.  Hemp-CBD isolate is 99.9% pure CBD & contains well below the .3% limit of THC (current lab report is always available on our homepage).

 Topical use and/or ingestion of CBD does not cause any psychoactive effects! The effects of CBD when used topically are purely anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving. CBD soothes the skin, calming redness, swelling, & irritation.

Benefits of CBD

Our body naturally has an endogenous cannabinoid system, equipped with receptors called CB1 & CB2 receptors.  CB1 receptors are mainly located in the brain & affect mood, while CB2 receptors are located throughout the body and fascia.  Essentially, our bodies are prepared & waiting for us to ingest cannabinoids.  Using Alni Body Care topical CBD salve regularly will saturate the CB2 receptors, reducing inflammation, relieving pain, and alleviating skin irritations.  Clients who use Alni CBD Body Care have reported using it to treat symptoms associated with:

  • Anxiety
  • Arthritis
  • Chronic Lower Back Pain
  • Chronic Neck Pain
  • Cold Sores
  • Endometriosis
  • Eczema
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Ingrown Hairs
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Pelvic Pain
  • Plantar Fascitis
  • Psoriasis
  • Sciatica
  • Sunburn

& more!
